Corporate Carbon Accounting and Reporting

The Aldersgate Group is a broad coalition of environment agencies, NGOs, think tanks and industry representatives in the UK. The Group promotes the message that high environmental standards are essential for the UK ’s future economic well-being and competitiveness. The Environment Agency for England and Wales and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency are both members of the coalition.

The Aldersgate Group has recently produced a report on carbon reporting. The report argues that the lack of a standardised carbon reporting and accounting system for British companies is impeding the UK Government’s long term goals of reducing emissions and creating a low carbon economy.
