Argentine NGO FARN Releases Report on the Role of Indicators for Assessing Access to Justice
FARN's report on using environmental compliance and enforcement indicators for justice and the environment builds upon INECE's Guidance methodology, WRI's Access Initative, and other work. The report presents sets of indicators on court management and indicators on legal proceedings in Argentina. The report, Indicadores sobre Justicia y Ambiente: Actualidad del Principio 10 en Argentina, is available online (Spanish only).
Ireland's EPA Launches Anonymous Complaint Reporting Service
Ireland's EPA unveiled details of a confidential telephone service designed to encourage reporting of illegal dumping of waste or of abandoned illegal dumps. As part of a campaign entitled ‘Dump the Dumpers,’ the public can report illegal dumping via a 24-hour telephone hotline. Local authorities and the EPA will follow up on the information provided by the public, as appropriate.

Indonesia Joins Partnership to Improve Environmental Governance, Public Access to Information
Indonesia's citizens will have better access to environmental information and decision-making following tonight's announcement that the country will became the 7th national government - and the first in Asia - to join the international Partnership for Principle 10 (PP10).
Indonesia joins Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Uganda, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom as formal members of PP10, for which the World Resources Institute (WRI) serves as the global secretariat. PP10 partners make specific commitments and partner on initiatives to improve access and participation within member countries. A full list of the partners can be found at www.pp10.org.
