Request to Identify Local NGOs for Potential Collaboration Opportunities on Hazardous Wastes
INECE is seeking to identify civil society organizations who are working to protect human health and the environment against the adverse effects resulting from the generation and management of wastes at the national and local level, through:

the control of the transboundary movement of hazardous wastes and other wastes subject to the Basel Convention,
the minimization of the generation of hazardous wastes and other wastes, and/or
the environmentally sound management of hazardous wastes and other wastes.

Crossing the Border: Opportunities to Improve Tracking of Transboundary Hazardous Waste Shipments in North America
This NAFTA Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) report describes the current hazardous waste information tracking procedures and systems used by each of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) countries for transboundary hazardous waste shipments and to recommend ways to improve cooperation within North America on the transboundary tracking of these wastes.

IMPEL-TFS Verification-2 Project Newsletter
The 2nd Edition of the IMPEL-TFS Verification-2 Project Newsletter is now available. The Newsletter presents the results of common enforcement activities and successes. It also highlights a number of enforcement cases and presents the outcomes of the 2nd European transport inspection week, which took place from 19 till 23 September 2005.
